A Thorough Overview of Christian Faith and Beliefs

I bought this book for a course in Systematic Theology and am quite pleased with its thorough and well researched contents. "Biblical Theology" is the second edition of the original "Fundamentals of the Faith." This revised edition simplifies parts of the text and includes references that were not included in the first book. This book is exhaustive in the amount of material it covers. It also opened my eyes to a number of points of view I hadn't considered before. For example, on the matter of the Godhead or Trinity, Dr. Turner points out the different roles that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit each played in the creation. He states that God is the Designer and Supreme Ruler; Jesus was the Creator or executor of that design; and the Holy Spirit was the organizer, beautifier and lawgiver. He goes on to substantiate his claims in a logical and persuasive manner.
Rex Turner, Sr. writes in the introduction of the book that "the book covers some heavy material, and hopefully, it does so in a way and manner that every person can understand and appreciate as he/she reads. One object of the author has been to make each chapter full and complete, and this fact accounts for considerable repetition, especially on certain subjects."

Biblical Theology Restorationist Style

This is a great book. It , like many other theologies starts with the concepts of inspiration and revelation and then works through the various other concepts such as God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, salvation, etc.... from the perspective of the new covenant restorationist view. I found many pearls of wisdom to enjoy in my reading of this book, although I don't personally agree with every perspective of the author, it is refreshing in this day of liberalism and apostasy from true Christianity to find such a great theology to study.
